Ware continued their positive start in the Bet Victor Division 1 South Central disposing of Barking 4-2 at Wodson Park, with a Hat-Trick from Olu Akinsanya, elsewhere in the league Hertford Town went down 5-2 against Waltham Abbey, Luke Guymer and an Elliot Bailey penalty were the scorers for the blues.

In the Essex senior League, St Margaretsbury faced Hashtag United, both sides had good chances in the first half, with some early opportunities for the home side they could have gone in leading, Kirk McPherson having an excellent chance after rounding the Hashtag ‘keeper but took the ball a little too wide and couldn’t get the shot on target. Kyle Roberts then had a shot from the right edge of the area hit the bar, but the first period ended with the score 0-0 at half time. The Bury started the second half a little stronger, until the game sprung into action. Hashtag started putting the pressure on, before St Margaretsbury had a goal disallowed in the 70th minute for offside. Just a couple of minutes later Hashtag won a penalty after Simon Peddie was brought down by Columbus Ayayi. Hussein Isa slotted the penalty home, with the home keeper diving the right way and unlucky not to reach it. Manager Jonny Fowell was then sent to the stands by referee Edward Smith. The Tag’s then made it 2-0 in the 82nd minute with a goal from Lee Hursit, the other game for our local teams was Sawbridgeworth against Sporting Bengal, The Robins have had a difficult start to the season, but this seemed a much improved performance even though they were defeated 3-2 by Bengal, they were the stronger team in the second half but couldn’t stop the Bengal Tigers going away with all 3 points.

Over in the Bet Victor South Division 1 central, Welwyn Garden City continued where they left off overcoming Biggleswade 3-1 with Welwyn’s goals all coming in the first half. Eusebio De Silva with 2 of those after Jay Rolfe got the opener. Biggleswade managed a late consolation goal

Wodson Park faced North Greenford United in the Spartan South Midlands League Challenge Trophy, and were defeated 1-0

In a friendly match Hartham United travelled to Royston United, and seemed determined to add to the Ladies amazing victory on Sunday, coming away with a 4-1 victory, with George Hale getting on the scoresheet 3 times

On Wednesday Ware Sports travelled to take on Royston Town in the Herts Senior League, in what must have been an entertaining game which ended 5-5
