Hertford Town‘s young side learned a tough lesson at the Acre Cars Stadium as a goal five minutes from time from Omari Hibbert gave visitors Tooting and Mitcham United the points. There was a six goal thriller at Wodson Park as Ware and Staines Town drew 3-3. Liam Hope with a brace and Olu Akinsanya were on target for the home side. Welwyn Garden City got their Southern League campaign off to a good start with a 2-1 win over league new boys Wantage Town, George Ironton and Eusebio Da Silva scored the goals as the Citizens came from one down at the break.

In the Essex Senior League Hoddesdon Town‘s fine run continued with Connor Scully grabbing two as they beat Ilford 3-0. No joy for Sawbridgeworth Town who were beaten 4-1 at home to Tower Hamlets. Wodson Park stay rooted to the foot of Spartan South Midlands League Division One following a 3-2 defeat at Milton Keynes Robins, Alphonso Marshall and Joshua Lancaster with the goals. There were winning starts for both teams on the opening day of the Herts Senior County League Hoddesdon Town Reserves won 4-1 at Cuffley while Ware Sports beat Hatfield Town 1-0.

On Sunday HARTHAM UNITED LADIES made history as they won their first ever match in the Womens FA Cup beating Bishops Stortford Ladies 5-1 with Janiece Allan scoring four.
