Tuesday evening saw WARE and HERTFORD in league action, facing South Park and Chertsey Town respectively. WARE drew 3-3 in a disappointing result for boss PAUL HALSEY, who felt it was 2 points lost. South Park took the lead through Great Evans after 23 minutes, before 2 quick goals, one from PATRICK ADAMSON, and a well worked corner from LEIGH ROSE, gave the WAREBOYS the lead. South Park pulled the scores level after 39 minutes after a free kick by Sam Renfry caught WARE ‘keeper REECE GRUNDY unaware. Alejandro Piedrahita gave the visitors the lead again through a wonder strike from 25 yards after a corner, before OLU AKINSANYA got what ended up being his last goal for WARE in injury time after a goalmouth scramble to let the game finish 3-3.

HERTFORD went down 3-2 at home to Chertsey, and took the lead as early as the 4th minute through LUKE GYMER, before Chertsey gave themselves a 2-1 lead at the break, the latter goal coming after a BEN HERD free kick had been met by SAM OYENIRAN and cannoned off the crossbar to allow the visitors to break away and score. HERTFORD levelled the scores after 61 minutes through BEN WEYMAN from a corner, before the visitors got the winner with 85 minutes on the clock to give them a 3-2 victory

HODDESDON progressed in the Errington Cup after a 2-0 victory away to Southend Manor, SCOTT HAYES and LIAM MULLIGAN, the scorers for THE LILLYWHITES. WELWYN GARDEN CITY had a friendly against Sandridge Rovers, and drew 3-3 2 goals from DAVE KEENLYSIDE and 1 from TOBY CLEAVER, in a result that CITIZENS boss NICKY IRONTON said flattered the hosts.

The result of the night saw WARE -18’S travel to play MK Dons -18’s in the FA Youth Cup, and after a goalless 90 minutes, it went to extra time where goals from JOE ABE and ALFIE CAMPBELL sent the youngsters through.

On Wednesday WARE -23’s drew 2-2 with Enfield in the Bluefin Insurance Development League, whilst HERTFORD went down 5-1 to Bury Town on Thursday.
