Resident Joanne Easter has been campaigning for Hoe Lane in Ware to be made safer by the council.
She feels that speed measures need to be introduced after several accidents and residents have obtained shocking footage of a cat being hit by a car due to speeding.
Joanne Easter said: “ I am trying to get information to fellow residents to power my campaign. After captured footage of a cat being killed by a speeding vehicle, time is up. Action is needed.”
Joanne has reached out to both the local and county Council.
The Mayor of Ware Cllr Alex Curtis has said “The Highways department should review the lack of speed measures on Hoe lane so that an acceptable solution can be found.
A spokesperson for Hertfordshire County Council said: “The safety of road users is of paramount importance to us at Hertfordshire County Council and we would always encourage people to voice any concerns which they may have about local roads.
“We have provided advice on how to progress with the concerns around Hoe Lane in Ware and will continue to assist in the matter where we can.”
