2019 Line Up

The Trees

The Trees came together in the vibrant local acoustic scene of the 90s as part of a loose affiliation called Wagger’s Tail. The flexibility and mobility of the acoustic format enabled them to employ the guerrilla tactic of creeping up on unsuspecting public houses and playing in them. From this fondly remembered pursuit, they evolved into the Indie covers band Five Green Trees. Having settled into their current line up as The Trees, they now focus on bringing modern guitar driven Americana, mixed with some classic rock, to a wider audience.

Adam Fearn

Adam has been playing with bands and other acts such as Not the Droids and Adam & Rick in and around Hertford for the past 12 years. As a solo act, he likes to keep people entertained with upbeat acoustic renditions of familiar songs spanning all ages.

SAYA

SAYA is a DJ/Producer with an interestingly varied palate. Her intriguing fusion of Deep, Uplifting Tech and Future House puts her into a promising niche position within the industry as her standout sonic signature draws attention from the crowd.

SAYA has played up and down the UK and further afield, with international bookings in Finland, Greece, Cyprus and France being just some of the many countries on her resumé, she is steadily establishing herself as an international artist.

With releases on Ryde Music; she is quickly finding her confidence with production and strengthening her reputation as a credible contributor to the industry. The former being the catalyst to her picking up several club and festival bookings, as well as securing her a residency as a bi-weekly radio host on the increasingly-popular ‘Full House Sessions’ and ‘House Party Radio’ for Goat Shed.

With plenty of strings to SAYA’s bow, each getting tighter and more robust; she is fast becoming an artist to keep a firm eye on.

Lunar Echoes

Formed from the ashes of popular Cambridge band The Abstracts, Lunar Echoes sees Ben Taylor, Ben Nunn and Mark Thomson come together with London based singer/songwriter Ronnie White to create a more complex and intricate sounding outfit that aims to explore the more rocky and electronic genres.

With a mix of prominent bass and drums and intricate guitar and synth work, the band is fronted by a powerful female lead vocal that is filled with emotion and is sure to stand out from the rest.

Sofasonic

Sofasonic are a bluesy, riff-based rock band throwing out catchy melodies sitting over toe-tapping licks! The band consists of Mikey on vocals and lead guitar, Niall on rhythm guitar, SJ on Bass and Elliot on drums. Their main influences are Royal Blood, Band of Skulls, Queens of the Stone Age and Deaf Havana among many others.

They’ve been together since 2013, releasing an E.P. and their debut album ‘Get Made’ in 2017. Sofasonic have been lucky enough to support the Spin Doctors in their hometown, and most recently supported The Picturebooks locally as part of their UK warm-up tour. Perhaps their biggest achievement so far has been the ‘Get Made’ European Tour of 2017 which took in London, Bruges, Amsterdam, Aachen, Copenhagen, and Gothenburg.

Sofasonic are currently hidden away working on new material for the as-yet-untitled second album, with a big release and associated tour planned for 2019 so keep your eyes and ears peeled!

The Oscar Nominated

The Oscar Nominated are a five piece guitar band from Hertfordshire/Essex who create hook laden, vibrant, indie rock.

The band rose from the ashes; albeit twenty years later; from 90’s bands Poplark and Moses after a drunken conversation in a hotel bar between Brothers- in-law Dave Carver (guitar) and George Kaye (vocals). With Kevin Starr (drums) and Patrick Bennett (guitar) completing the line-up the band then set about crafting songs that move seamlessly between New Wave, rock, folk and skiffle. Powered by infectious melodies and full of sharp, observational lyrics the band are currently working on their debut album.

One Last Daybreak

Formed at the beginning of 2018, One Last Daybreak quickly emerged in their local scene as a band to watch out for. From releasing their debut EP ‘A Thousand Thoughts’ in April 2018, the band soon went on to their first tour and shortly after found themselves playing Envol Et Macadam Festival in Quebec City, Canada, alongside prolific bands such as Parkway Drive, August Burns Red and The Devil Wears Prada in September of the same year.

In November 2018, they released ‘My Home, My Gallows’ and ‘Jackson & Witcham’ in EP ‘The Midnight Society’ – the two songs taking influence and referencing Stephen King’s IT and Hannibal Lecter; quickly amassing a following on online media outlets such as Spotify.

Unafraid to be honest, the Emo Post-Hardcore quartet can be recognised by their energetic performances, raw and catchy melodies and emotional lyrics which cover topics such as depression, heartbreak, abuse and the hardships of life. Their upcoming EP, due for release later in the year is not exempt from this, and talks openly about domestic abuse and the effects of growing up in a broken home.

The boys have recently returned from joining IMMERSE on tour, as well as playing the prolific club venue ‘Facedown’ in London. They can soon be seen in St. Albans and Ware this July.
