Welcome to my new show Out and About in Hertford and Ware with me Bernie. Local Singer Cara Bo sings two lovely songs for us and local singer, songwriter Josie March sings her own lovely composition about standing up against bullying “Somebody’s got to do something”.
I also meet with lots of local residents both young and old, have brief chats with them and play their song requests. I meet Ollie who is so funny and full of smiles aged three and I help a lovely local five year -old girl sing happy Birthday to her Dad outside Wheatcroft school.
And then I meet Fred and Marina who have been married for 62 years together and try to find out the secret of their success. I met Michael who is doing tremendous work for the local community.
Out and About 2:
Today we interview the lovely local singer Cara Bo and meet the inspirational local portrait artist Katherine Burgess. We meet some elderly 90- year old residents who have been through so much and a lovely 3 year- old resident beautifully sings twinkle, twinkle, little star for us. We talk about people’s lock down experiences. We briefly pop into Auto Care in Ware and witness just how popular and how busy they are. We have a fascinating chat with Ian Kinsey of the band Metronaut and their amazing composition made to celebrate the moon landing. We listen to their amazing lunar descent track.
