The D-Day landings, also known as Operation Overlord, was one of the most decisive military campaigns of the Second World War, which saw 156,000 Allied troops arrive in Normandy on 6 June 1944, for a combined naval, air and land assault on Nazi-occupied France.
In partnership with Aero Legends and The D-Day Squadron, the epic Second World War mass flight display will bring the extraordinary story of D-Day to life.

Imperial War Museums present a unique experience at IWM Duxford with this year's Duxford Summer Air Show, marking the 80th anniversary of D-Day.
This significant anniversary will be honored with the arrival of a fleet of historic Dakotas, the iconic aircraft of the D-Day landings, gracing the skies of Duxford for a series of spectacular flypasts throughout the weekend and a grand historic parachute drop on Saturday June 1st, over the airfield.
As a charity, every Duxford Air Show 2024 purchase helps IWM continue to tell stories for future generations.

Standard adult tickets are still available, including our offer for children aged 15 and under. Please secure a standard ticket now for each person in your group.
Standard tickets allow access to our complimentary shuttle bus service, designed to accommodate the increased number of visitors at Duxford Air Shows.
The complimentary shuttle bus service will run throughout the day to and from Cambridge train station and Trumpington Park and Ride.
Attendance on the day requires advance online ticket booking. Do not travel to IWM Duxford on Saturday 1 June or Sunday 2 June without a valid ticket for each member of your group.
