We're East Herts Radio, a community radio station located in Sawbridgeworth, Hertfordshire. We're excited to announce our move into a new studio right in the heart of our community. Now, we're taking the next step in expanding our reach and impact: we're launching a campaign to raise funds for a new mobile radio studio.

Our vision is to create a mobile broadcasting unit that we can take to events, festivals, schools, and colleges. This mobile studio will allow us to broadcast live from community events, providing real-time coverage and engaging content. Additionally, it will offer media students and aspiring radio broadcasters a hands-on opportunity to learn and explore the world of broadcasting.

Currently, when we attend local events, we have to dismantle our main studio, transport the equipment, set it up at the venue, and then reverse the process to return. This means our main studio goes off the air during these times, which is far from ideal. A dedicated mobile radio studio would solve this problem, allowing us to maintain continuous broadcasting while engaging directly with our community.

We envision converting a medium-sized van into this mobile studio. By purchasing a second-hand vehicle, our talented volunteers can transform it into a fully equipped mobile broadcasting unit. This van would become a vital asset for our community, enabling us to bring the radio station to you, wherever you are.
