Image released following robbery in Bishop’s Stortford

Police are releasing an image of two people they would like to identify as part of continuing enquiries into a robbery in Bishop’s Stortford.

The incident occurred in Warwick Road at around 8pm on Saturday 15 July.

It was reported that a 19-year-old man was walking along the road when he was verbally threatened and his iPhone was stolen.

The suspects then got into a vehicle.

Detective Constable Grace Costin, from the Local Crime Unit, said: “Thankfully the victim wasn’t hurt during the incident, but he was fearful that he may have been if he didn’t hand his phone over.

“Our enquiries have been continuing behind the scenes to trace the suspects and the vehicle however, they have not been identified at this time and we are therefore releasing this image.

“The people pictured were in the area at the time and may have information that could assist us. I fully appreciate the image is not clear, but this is all we have been able to capture at this time, despite an extensive CCTV review. We want to make sure we’re exhausting every lead as part of the investigation.

“If you can assist, please get in touch. Thank you.”
