Flood alert for River Lee at Hertford

River levels are rising on the River Lee due to heavy rainfall.
Flooding is forecast to affect locations near the River Lee from00:30 on Tuesday 2 January, with low lying land expected to be most affected, particularly around Riverside Garden Centre and Hertford Football Club.
Further rainfall is forecast throughout Tuesday 2 January, so river levels are expected to remain high.
We are monitoring rainfall and river levels and are checking rivers for blockages in the area.
Avoid using low lying footpaths and any bridges near local watercourses and do not attempt to walk or drive through flood water.
