There are a host of activities on offer at Sawbridgeworth’s May Fayre on Sunday – but besides teddies getting the chance to whizz down a zip line visitors can try their hand at pickle ball.

The various venues during the event, which runs between midday and 4pm, include Fair Green, Sawbridgeworth Memorial Hall and the community library in The Forebury, the long-stay car park in Bell Street, The Old Bell garden and Sawbridgeworth Cricket Club.

But youngsters will be heading to Great St Mary’s Church, Church Street, where they can sponsor a teddy to zip line from the top of the tower into the grounds. Each brave teddy will be given a certificate to take home with them and their new owner.

Fair Green will be the venue for Andy Knox’s live music line-up, which includes Freyja Towers and Robbie Burr, Lolli-B Band, Lucy Gadman’s Dance With Me Studios, Steve Newman and Richard Pink. East Herts Radio will also be present broadcasting live from their Mobile Studio . There will also be food and craft stalls on Fair Green, along with games stalls and a barbecue.
